QUERETARO RACETRACK RECORD

VUHL AUTOMOTIVE BREAKS THE LAP RECORD AT ECOCENTRO RACETRACK, QUERETARO.

QUERETARO, MEXICO.  Shortly after winning the first prize at the Pastejé Hill Climb with WRC2 Champion Benito Guerra, ultralightweight supercar manufacturer VUHL Automotive returns to the circuit, this time at Ecocentro Racetrack in Queretaro City with a VUHL 05RR, the ultimate version of the 05, to set a new standard when it comes to lap times around the 2,300 meter circuit.

Mexican Motorsports Federation FEMADAC was present during the record attempt, to endorse and certify through racing steward Izel Tapia each lap time, thus validating the official lap record as stated in their 0521/047 DJH certificate.

The officially registered lap record is 58.67 seconds, with VUHL Factory Driver Rodrigo Echeverría at the wheel. (RECORD QUERETARO RACETRACK) Such lap time is achieved using slick tires, while a DOT-homologated street tires time of 59.66 seconds was also recorded.

Soon to be announced are the lap times registered with Michelin Pilot Sport full slicks, which have been undergoing exhaustive testing in France and Spain, as testimony to the 05RR’s performance in competition conditions. This collaboration is made possible thanks to Michelin’s corporate offices in Queretaro, Mexico.

“We’re proud to have achieved this goal at our local racing circuit, through our team’s effort and dedication. I am sure that the new lap record, as well as the victory at Pastejé Hill Climb, are just the beginning of a winning streak to come for this year.“

-Iker Echeverría, Managing Director.

It is of utmost importance for VUHL that the effort in breaking this record is a reflection of the reality of road going vehicles their customers acquire, that is why the iconic 01 car was chosen to break records: a road-registered vehicle that arrives under its own power that same morning and receives no special treatment other than removing the license plates before entering the circuit.

With this record at the Queretaro Racetrack, VUHL Automotive starts its 2021 track day season visiting the most emblematic racing circuits in Mexico.
